Beaches & Landscapes
The natural settings we promote

El Anclote Beach
Traditional beach of Punta de Mita, with a fishing atmosphere, local restaurants and conditions that can favor first surfing experiences. Ideal for introducing visitors to the maritime culture of the community.

La Lancha Beach
Beach with well-known waves among surfers, accessed by a trail through coastal vegetation. Its surroundings allow combining sport, landscape appreciation and education about beach care.

Cerro del Mono
Elevation near Higuera Blanca, with tropical vegetation trails and panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean, the Punta de Mita peninsula and Banderas Bay. One of the most attractive natural settings for interpretive hiking.

Las Cocinas Beach
Central stage of the community defense of the coastline. The controversy over construction and public access has highlighted the importance of beaches as spaces for coexistence, natural heritage and sea turtle nesting habitat.

- Conservation of natural spaces
The tourism that saves the beach
Batalla por la Playa is born from the conviction that tourism development must benefit the communities that have historically lived, worked and protected the coast. Community tourism, conservation and defense of the territory.
An initiative linked with community defenders of the beaches of Nayarit, with proposed accompaniment from Santuario Ajolote – CIMA A.C.
